
So now I do both. I care about visual identity, composition and all the details that make a design feel like itself, but I also care about whether people understand it, whether it solves the right problem, and whether it actually works. I’m probably more visually led than a typical UX designer — and I quite like that.
At the moment I work full time in a marketing team across print, campaigns, social and digital design, and spend a suspicious amount of my free time working on UI/UX and volunteer projects as well. I like projects most when I can watch them grow from a vague idea into a fully functioning thing.
